DIY direct-to-bong conversion

I bought this whip vape a while ago:

It's called TheCan and is basically a square Da buddha. It worked well, but I vastly prefer vapes that attach directly to a bong. So began the conversion process.

The first stage was to move everything into a smaller platform. I guess I forgot to take pictures, but it was just the box below with the heater element attached to the round aluminum piece (where the cord/silicon tubing is now). The ~1/2" of aluminum...

I thought i would start this thread to show you how i go about fixing broken Cloud bamboos!
I did not take too many photo's for this one because i was not sure if it would work!
I think i will be fixing a few more units for members along the way!

The first one i fixed for @olivianewtonjohn
It arrived with the top portion of the bamboo cleanly broken off at the level of the heater.
Luckily the heater still worked!

I'd like an e-nail device but retail prices have seemed a bit absurd.

Build a kind of E-nail from a cheap BC vaporizer?

I got a sort of BC vaporizer (it was my first vape but it didn't convert me to vapor, HA did it), I thought this kind of vape is built as an e-nail, it's full conduction and the heating element is the SS cup....

So I'm thinking to try to find a way to add power to be able to use it as a nail, and I want to replace the SS cup with my DYD TI nail cup.....

Do you think it's a good idea or a waste of time?
Do you this is don't mean healthy issues?
Could you help me to do it cause I haven't got...

Hi Guys i already posted about my last try, I own a cheap bulb vaporizer (àla BC vape), I dismantled the stainless steel cup and put at the same place the threading of my DYD Ti-nail with the nail itself (without counterweight).

Without any other mod I powered on and waited 5mn, I tried first a tiny dab of reclaim.....it works! after that I tried with my shatter, taste was amazing, really better than with a torch, it's definitly a low-temp dab but taste is really amazing, I take at least 3...

So all my recent research into Log vapes (and the decision to purchase a nano) has me thinking about building my own!

My friend is an expert on the lathe (He often has his bowls shown in art galleries), and he always has blocks of beautiful local exotic woods (burls, tiger eyes, hardwoods, etc) which he burns in his 55gallon drum almost monthly! I plan on using this to source my log's exterior design.

30watt heater with a 24watt dimmer?

Hey all!

My lathe turning friend geeked out when I showed him my Nano - he wanted to build his own log vape that day! So I've started to look into off-the-shelf parts (COTS) for my heat controller.

The only thing I've found is a 12v inline PWM dimmer (for LED lights). However it is only 2 amps!

I'm pretty sure I'm correct, but if I have a 30 or 40 watt ceramic heater, it will not burn out the PWM dimmer, correct?

Moreover, if the dimmer is rated to 2 amps (24 watts) - how safe is it to run...

Hi everyone,

New here, but thought you would all like to have a look at what I’m starting to put together.

This is the current test bed.

Left to right:

Test stand, currently using a single 100W 240v halogen bulb. Planning on upping it to 3x 150W halogen tubes. Thermocoulpe is sitting next to the bulb here.

Middle: Heater driver, TRIAC controlled, took heat sink off temporary, may be needed if upping it to 450W

Need some help with my heat gun setup

What's up FC! I was hoping I could get some help with my homemade heat gun setup, I've included some pictures below, the main thing I want to fix is that the pipes I used get very hot (thus the torn shirt wrapped around it) I'd also like to try to find a better place to put the herb (right now put two pipe screens in the tube and put the herbs in-between)

Also any recommendations on what bags to use? Oven bags were way too wide....

hi!
i´m using the vapbong/ vaponic a few years now and as spare parts if they broke are not very cheap , i´ve tried to copy it.
it works and i got a cheapo disposable vape.

parts needed:
12 mm test tube with thick walls ( thin test tubes didn´t work good) or the original vaponic test tube (2-4 euro)

12 mm diameter wooden stick ( 100mm 1-2 euro)

lufka style glass one hitter (0,5-2 euro)

all you have to do is to heat treat the big openig of the one...

Been working on a project to turn one of them "cloud chasing" ecig mods into a dry herb vape. Having a few minor set backs, looking to see if anyone has done this bfore.

Finding a proper screen element amd keeping the mod cool enough to hold are my problems so far.

But my goal with this is to be standing next to someone vaping eliquid and be able to hit mine and no one be able to tell. But, it must vape and not burn (otherwise the smell would b a dead give away), and it's needs to hit...

Making a Glass Vaporgenie alternative

Hello everybody, this is my first post, I hope your all doing well today :)

I am looking into trying to make an alternative to the Glass Vaporgenie due to the cost. I am planning on using the vape for a variety of substances, although I have never owned a vape nor bong so I do not know which individual parts to buy in order to replicate the device. I know I will not be able to make a device which hits as smoothly.

I live in Bristol, UK so I am looking for parts which can easily be shipped...

I suffer from some aggressive rheumatological disease which causes joint pain and inflammation. I've been managing my pain with cannabis for the last year. I play bass and vaporize with an mflb. I play for long periods of time with bands and when I practice, and find it inconvenient to have to stop playing to vape every 10 minutes (I keep a very light buzz to keep my head as clear as possible when playing)

I would like to build a vaporizer into my setup. I was thinking some form of foot switch...

Not sure if this is the right place for this but I was wondering if there was anything I could do with an idea for a vaporizer if I don't really have much money? How much would it cost to patent? Is it even possible for a single person without a ton of money to do anything with an idea other than sit on it?
